Its close to 2 months of Nook's opening.
One word to describe: Thankful
It still feels like a dream that i finally did it.
Over the past 2 months,Nook have grown from nothing til now having a 1.4k facebook likes!
To be honest,it wasn't easy at all.
There are many times i don't deny i really does feel like giving up.
Especially at the start of the 2nd month,we didn't do any online marketing at all and sales dropped so badly its so upsetting.
But yet, deep down i know i can't let this concept died just like that without trying even harder.
I knew its a great concept and theres so so much room for growth.
And so i pushed on.
Now,things are stabilizing and looking great.
Best news of all, Nook is engaged to do an outdoor event for KFC tomorrow!

But nothing was easy,especially FNB.
I work 24/7 everyday.
-Marketing personel,Hr,PR,cashier,waitress,chef,Manager.(Everything imaginable)
For a 23 year old, yes,my stress level is unimaginable.
My overheads every month can be 5X more than the salary of another 23 year old fresh grad.
And no,i wasn't complaining.
In fact, i feel thankful because i've never been so determined before,to hold on to Nook and make sure it grows. Just like a mother gingerly looking after her child carefully.

Nothing stops me from doing the best for Nook.
And you know they always say,bad stuff always happen together?
yup.My relationship failed just at the time Nook's sales was going downhill.
Maybe when i was much younger.I would have spend a long while in sorrow trying to get over a heartbreak.
But not this time round.

My reply when someone asked how i feel was,
"I have no time to be upset over anything at all".
To my staff and partner,
"From now on,i will take over everything.Rest assured,i will make sure everything goes well.Teach me if i don't know anything."
No i wasn't cold-hearted,im just goal-orientated.
Especially,now my workload is doubled.
My determination is stronger too.

And to that close friend, thanks for helping to make Nook grow.
Really appreciate it and all the best.

That night.

Time checked.
3.15 am.

Just like any other night when insomnia kept me awake,I turn to my trusty macbook for companionship.Thats when i randomly came across this blog "thebigsheila.blogspot.sg" and as i read her article,I was inspired by her to write a story of my own too.
.
.
Its been almost 6 months since i last boldly announced to the world that i've chosen to pursue my life long dream to start my own food business.I remembered that very night i made this decision to resign from my comfortable flying job,i was in maldives. It was a usual tiring flight and i was so tempted to lie down and sleep away. But the waves of the water crashing along the shore, eventually lure me to the beach bar.Now i can finally have some time alone, sipping a cocktail with my ipad on my hand.I took in the smell of the salty sea water and the breathtaking view of the dancing light shadows on the clear blue sea.

Thats when i turn to my ipad, open the notes section. And i started writing...

Things I've accomplished so far

*Travelled almost half of the world
*Have tons of fun,partied hard.
*Indulged in different cuisine from all over the world.
*

And thats when i stopped.Because i've got nothing more to fill up the space.
I suddenly realized,"shit..I'm turning 23,and honestly i've no technical skills neither do i have any experience in working for the corporate world.Do i really have to fly til i'm 40 and get retrenched because my skin is starting to sag and my colleagues are all little sweet young things."

THAT NIGHT i decided to take a great step forward.

I've always been telling myself this" Life is too short".The last thing i wanted is to lie down on my deathbed one day, regretting all the things that i ended up not doing because i procrastinated too much.

And so half a year later, doing countless research, consult numerous helpful FNB industry friends and many MANY failed attempts at " pancake batter" making. PS:I guess that should give you a clue about the restaurant that i'm going to open.

Presenting to you:

Oh yes! We are DIY PANCAKE HOUSE ! You get to cook your own pancakes with 20 over toppings  and 20 sides to choose from and have a great fun time with your family and friends! And thats not all, there are even more exciting things to look forward to in NOOK-This i will share in the later part, closer to opening!

Now we are in the ending stages to sign the lease of our new restaurant space. And i really really can't wait to tell you guys where it is..but not til the space is firmed' up.

Til then,
I will continue working hard to better improve my Pancake batter!
Speaking about which,me and trusty partner have recently came across a secret ingredient which i named it " Magical X" because once added, the pancakes instantly "poof" and become fluffier!
We did a victory dance in the kitchen because we FINALLY did it after 6 months of experimenting!

With that,

Good night preeps!

The Sweden Story.

Come walk with me in the park.
And we will walk beside the green shrubbery.
On the cold side walk.
Walking in nothing but our socks.

Sweden is ,probably by far, the most peaceful and quiet place I've ever visited.
But then again,it was a sunday when i visited so practically all the shops are closed.
I guess i would need another visit to find out what is the real Sweden like.

But nonetheless,i enjoyed myself still.
It feels like i was teleported back to the olden countryside days.
Where vikings still roam the streets and the villagers dances along to the music under the moonlight.
The breathtaking pastoral beauty left me yearning more.
-Intense green countryside, impenetrable forests, towering castles and Sweden's famously clear blue water.
If i were to choose a country to retire,i would probably choose Sweden.
Away from the city living and bustling streets, maybe i would took up farming and growing apple trees?
(Nah..im just joking,I would never surrender my Apple IPAD for an APPLE TREE.)

PICTURES TIME

                                          The streets of Sweden
Asking for directions from a cute swedish receptionist working in the hotel.

First real life castle I ever seen in my life at Malmo konstmusuem.
The majestic architectural building seems to emit a mysteriously creepy aura.
I was secretly hoping that Count Dracula would emerged out of that building so that i can proudly go back to sg and spread the news that" VAMPIRES DOES EXIST".
But that is if he doesn't lay his teeth on me first.

My happiest moment of the whole trip!
FINALLY saw a real life APPLE TREE with countless of fresh red apples lying on the floor.
We literally took the apples from the table, wiped them clean with our shirt and munched into them just like that.( Apple thief spotted in the picture!)

This guy is totally in his own world, listening to his music and feeding the ducks alone.

Dinner time

 Beautiful restaurant
The picture above is  a stand where Swedish meatballs are sold.We spend a longggg time asking the locals for direction to find the meatballs. Im very determined to find out how the real swedish meatballs taste like and not the ikea ones in sg.

Believe me. Its WAYYYY Better then Ikea ones.
The meatballs are juicy and make out of fresh meat and the cranberry sauce are just so fresh and sweet!
Thumbs up!

And the last picture on my lovely and awesome colleagues who make the Sweden trip awesome!
Thank youuu!

Wolves does exist!

Today's blog post of the day is to educate woman on:
 Toilet safety

What a topic? Yeah i know right!

Anyways this happen to a really close gf of mine and i find it so annoying angry that i find that i must share this with the rest of the girls population.

Anyway this happened in Plaza Sing Toilet.
Let's call my gf "A".
A walked into the cubicle with her gf.
Seconds later, her Gf came out looking a bit worried.
A asked what happened only to realise that a PEEPING TOM has just used a handphone to snap pictures of her gf in the cubicle.

They started shouting at the only locked cubicle but Mr Peeping Tom just refused to come out.

What happened next was classic.... and disgusting.

The policemen arrived to be greeted by.. SHIT. LOADS OF IT.Apparently, P.Tom in an attempt to cover up his actions, tried to force shit out of  his butt and left it all around the cubicle. And thus, when the policemen arrived. He tried to lied and claim he was in a girls toilet because he wanted to take a dump.

Hello? Are you dumb or what.
The guys toilet are just beside.
And who in the right mind, shit all over the cubicle?

If you think this is horrifying enough, listen to this.
1.This scrawny looking malay peeping tom ACTUALLY WORKS AS A CLEANER IN PLAZA SING! -Imagine how many girls have fall prey unknowingly to his perverted act.

2.He's so "PROFESSIONAL",he purposely" blinged'' his phone with crystals to look like a girl's one.

3. He stuck THUMBTACK under his slippers so that when he walked into the cubicle. It would give off a" tapping sound" as though a lady had just walked in wearing heels.

What a lowdown act!

Therefore,Girls..do be careful when you sit through your performance in the toilet.
Scan around and be extra cautious!

Because you never know who's peeping on you.

Oh hey there she is!

Oh hello back.
Yes.Im guilty of not paying attention to my blog.
The reason is plain simple.
Firstly,I honestly didn't thought i would have any readership and secondly, yes im plain lazy too.

And so i left it dying for a while...

Until weirdly, i started getting many feedbacks from my friends and some not-so-close friends that i bumped into recently.

So thats how the conversation goes:
Friend:"Hey..Ive been reading your blog, how have you been?"
Me:''Oh serious? You actually read my blog?''
(Meanwhile feeling guilty for not writing on it for 1 month)
Le bf evil-ly jumped in to tease me and exclaimed" Stay tuned guys,i will update!.. But she never did"
And so i answered back sheepishly:"ahhaha..I really didn't thought anyone would read it."

Well,anyway im back now.
But with a different perspective.
Blogging is not about getting readership or earning money.
To me,I feel that blogging gives me a space to share some interesting stories that i encounter in my life.
And i really does enjoy telling my stories to others.
And so..
''Lets care and share people!"

Busy like a bumble bee!

Like what they always say,the beginning is always the hardest for everything.
For the past half a year,i've been going to places understanding the crowd at different locations, studying my books, calculating time and again our budget. And most importantly, consulting professional help from people in the FnB trade.

Its very reassuring to find people who are so helpful even though im about to join them in the same trade. One special mention would be lance selling katong laksa at Holland Village.Honestly,Holland is probably the most challenging place to open any eatery with the sky rocketing rental prices. So i have to lift my hat off to him!Anyway from stranger to friends, hes been really helpful, patiently answering our enquires and giving us a lot of advises.

Ive lost track of how many times we have to start all over again from scratch and the many obstacles we have came across.Especially for a foodie like me,i have high expectations for the ambience, food and the concept of the restaurant.Needless to say, while planning for mine,i expect a certain quality too.
From planning the menu# like a chef#,thinking of advertisements and marketing portion#like a designer#,calculating budget and getting funds#like an accountant#,planning the restaurant layout#like an interior designer and lastly, location finding island wide#like property agent#.

Well,it ain't easy for sure. But,as the saying goes:
Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.

I would say i'm much ready now after doing my homework. But still, theres more hard work i foresee coming my way and i can't wait to accept the challenges!Well, for updates,me and my partner have already decided on a place and i guess the day we are waiting for so long would finally be happening soon.

#keeping my fingers crossed#

XOXO

All about life as an Airline crew (Part 1)

Blue eyeshadow, red lipstick, red nails and neatly hair sprayed hair with a body hugging custom-made uniform.I believe this is the dream of many to don on such an uniform and strut down international airports with a charming smile and a suitcase. On the surface,it seems very easy and glamourous aint it?

But what really are the challenges faced by the crew and what goes behind that big plastered smile?Life as a crew is not all sweet and rosy.Like many would say its a Love-hate relationship. With that, let me share my side of my past flying stories to you guys out there who have always been interested to know what we, as crew, do outstation and onboard.
.
.
.
Firstly, most of us have this syndrome whenever we report for flight-#PFS#.The definition of PFS is PRE-FLIGHT SYNDROME.This syndrome includes draggy legs, heart pumping and anxiety attack.Yes normally we start praying. This syndrome occurs because we flew with different people every flight and trust me,there are as much warped people around as well as awesomely nice ones.Everyone have different working styles, some are motivational while some have serious character flaws.

Honestly,im horrified by the quality of some crew who were promoted.Yes,let me tell you what the " so called bosses" do.I seen many who sat in the crew seat from take-off to landing, not working at all and their poor crew have to struggle on their own.And one just went  galley to galley in search of food during service time, while we are busy serving passengers.Others just used their eye power to"help"and then, still have the cheek to complain when the work was not done to his liking.

I picked up a lot of acting skills during flying days just to deal with such people. You have to act really bimbotic sometimes to feed their ego.Rule of the thumb is just to smile and thanked them even when they just put you down to make themselves look better.More often then not,I always end up rolling my eyes when i walked away after listening to their senseless preaching.

ps:Im not saying everyone is like that. There are more nice ones actually then the above mentioned people. But since bad stories are always meant to be hidden during flying days, now Ive stopped.I might as well share some stories with you guys.

Secondly, I think this picture have say it all.

With ridiculously short stays nowadays, crew spends most of their time looking at hotel room's walls then exploring the country that they had just worked hours just to reach there. Most flight only have 1 clear day for you to do your shopping or to do sight seeing. so you have to choose ONE!In fact,Ive landed in sydney airport, stayed in sydney hotel but never step foot out of the hotel at all until its time to return home.Thats cause the stay is so short, you only have about 24 hours there to sleep.

Thirdly, the job is pretty monotonous.Basically you do the same things, day in and day out.Thats also the reason why i left the airlines because im someone who like challenges in life and moreover, im still so young. I did not want to get stuck to the comfort zone and never try venturing into other career paths that might lead me to greater things in life. And thus, despite many disapproving looks of others,i went ahead with my decision. I guess the best support Ive gotten so far were surprisingly from my ex collegues, who were glad i found the direction i want in my career path.

I hope im not scaring you guys out with this post. These are just some challenges you will be likely to face during flying. The next post i will share with you the crazy ,fun and adventurous life of a crew. Come to think about,i still missed it every now and then when looking at my batchmates' new uploaded photos on fb.
Its been a great experience!

Killer themed Photoshoot.

Its been a reallllllly long time since i last did a shoot.Come to think about it,its been 4 years. Before i officially started doing events and then went into flying. And thus, i decided to do a shoot that ive always  been very interested in.#Killer themed#Having been always intrigued by movies with sexy hot looking female killers holding guns, slashing and shooting people and strangely, still managed to stay hot at the same time.

''Don't they ever sweat at all after all that massive killings?"

This time round i worked with John Chua from IPixelPhotography.com and Michelle from Mich makeover.
Ive to say its one of my best shoot ever. The shots turned out really awesome and i love how the overall shoot complement really nicely with the place-Kranji memorial.

Most importantly, the make up is really awesome! Michelle is one of the few make up artist that managed to draw my eyes to my satisfaction. My eyes belongs to the small korean looking type and many make up artists are unable to draw it to bring out the spirit in the eyes.BUT Mich did!
Maybe i might even hire her for my wedding next time hhaa!

(PS:this is not an advertorial,im speaking nothing but the truth!")

Ending photo with the lovely team ..

Botox

http://sg.news.yahoo.com/lips-nose-cosmetic-packages-boom-valentines-day-083147152.html

Well.. I was reading this news online and decided I should probably share my story of botox to the keen ones out there.Anyways to be honest,I ever went for a botox session once. When I was just a mere 21,just for the fun of it and also if it really works better still right? For my case,i was pretty conscious about my squarish jawline all along. Ive always wondered how i would look like with a small petite face.

And thus, under recommendation.I went to a surgical clinic in Paragon to have it fixed. And damn.It cost me a hefty 2k plus. Its a very simple procedure. All you need is to do is to lie down on that clinic bed.And your anesthetic doctor would inject 6 botox shots at the side of your jawline.SO in total, its 12 shots.Mine was supposingly a very experienced doctor.

Seriously each shot took my breath away because Ive always been scared of injection. But after that one day session.Im no longer scared of INJECTIONS anymore.

Well anyway, after paying such a considerable amount for my botox and undergoing 12 injection shots.I was full of hope and excitedly waiting for my face to become smaller .Finally after a week, yes ,my jawline did become smaller and no longer as squarish as before but it comes in a package together with side effects too.

MY SMILE IS AS STIFF AS A STONE.

I cant smile naturally.#wails#Whenever i smile, its a lopsided twisted one.And i have to endure 3 weeks of laughter from my besties.Trust me. They really cracked up and doubled over with laughter whenever they saw me for that few weeks. Poor me have to stop smiling widely for that period, ive to attempt a feeble weak (trying to look natural)one.

The good side is? Everyone commented i look slimmer.Thats cause one's chubby face always create this unfair illusion that it equate to the body size too.which is definitely wrong.

Anyway ,I also realized eventually that i was ripped off at Paragon.Theres other clinics out there charging 500 plus only for one session.# Im being treated and con off like a tai tai at the age of 21#.Seriously how can the doctor be so heartless. He could have warn me about it right? hahahaa.

Anyway that was indeed quite an experience and trust me after that one session,I never went back for more. The result is not quite what i expected as the change is minimal and you have to go back every 3-4 months for continuous session. Most importantly,I never knew what was in that little botox shot.If it can make my mouth twitched like that. I wonder how it would affect the rest of my body in the long run.

But for the curious ones, you can always try and see the result for yourself. Its worth trying for that one time experience.Perhaps wedding? The side effects does varies for individuals. SO good luck!

Famous hawkers in Resorts World Sentosa's Malaysia Food Street
Famous hawkers in Resorts World Sentosa's Malaysia Food Street

Finally, we have a foodcourt here dedicated totally to Malaysian street food.

And the good thing is that the hawkers here don't stinge on the lard or chilli in their greasy and spice-packed foods that have ruled the streets across the Causeway for decades.

Boasting eight famous hawker names from Malaysia in the 17-stall Malaysia Food Street, the foodcourt with the facades of old shophouses lining the 'street' is expected to enjoy heaps of popularity here.

They include the famous Huen Kee Claypot Chicken Rice and Jalan Ah Lor Hokkien Mee, both from Kuala Lumpur, as well as some reputable Penang stalls. Like Ah Mei Prawn Mee and Ah Long Lor Bak from Penang.

Malaysian chef Adolf Tan, who is chef de cuisine at the integrated resort, is responsible for the recipes of the other Malaysian stalls. Such as Roti Canai, Malacca Chicken Rice Ball, KL Wanton Mee, Penang Cuttlefish Kangkong and Klang Bak Kut Teh.

The 17 stalls are:

1. Famous Jalan Alor KL Hokkien Mee
2. Fung Wong Confectionery
3. Petaling Street Famous Porridge since 1949
4. Huen Kee Claypot Chicken Rice
5. Ah Mei Hokkien Prawn Mee
6. Penang Hai Beng Hainan Lor Mee
7. Penang Ah Long Lor Bak
8. Penang Lim Brothers’ Char Koay Teow
9. Roti Canai & Nasi Biryani
10. Kampung Nasi Lemak
11. Malacca Chicken Rice Ball
12. Petaling Jaya Dim Sum and Drinks
13. Ampang Yong Tau Foo
14. Klang Bak Kut Teh
15. KL Wanton Mee
16. Penang Cuttlefish Kang Kong
17. Desserts/Fruits

Food by the famous hawkers:

Jalan Alor Hokkien Mee from Kuala Lumpur

Madam Helen Lem, 64, started the noodle stall in 1976. Her secret is using the right proportion of light and dark soya sauces drizzled over the noodles when stir-frying with the lean pork, prawns, squid, and cabbage. It is served with a home-made chilli belachan (shrimp paste) dip. Cooked with lard, the noodles weren't that flavourful until it's mixed with the sambal. (Rating: 7.5/10)

Fung Wong Confectionery from Kuala Lumpur

It has become a household name ever since it started in the early 1900s. It sells more than 20 varieties of traditional Cantonese pastry now. Famous for its wedding cakes, it offers here the founder's popular egg tarts, kaya puffs and baked char siu bao. Fourth-generation owner Melvin Chan runs the business.(Rating: 6.5/10)

Petaling Street Famous Porridge from Kuala Lumpur
Started in 1949 by Vivian Wong’s grandfather who was a Guangzhou migrant. The recipe has been pssed down for three generations over 60 years. The stall in KL is open daily from 4am to 2pm. Prior to cooking the porridge, the stock must first be prepared by boiling chicken and pork bones for three hours. It is then added to a mixture of three types of rice grains. While it is being cooked for two hours, it is stirred to break down the grains. Their crispy pig intestine and pork porridge is famous.

The broth was too light, so the porridge wasn't tasty when eaten without the meats. The intestines were well cleaned though. (Rating: 6.5/10)

Huen Kee from Kuala Lumpur

What makes Huen Kee Claypot Rice so palatable is the way it’s prepared as well as the marinade for the chicken. The rice, marinated chicken and other ingredients like the Chinese sausage and salted fish are cooked directly in the claypot over a charcoal stove. Burning coals are placed on top of the pot to achieve evenness in cooking and bring out the flavours. Ray Teoh, the son-in-law of founder Mdm Huen May Lan said chicken broth is used to cook the rice to give it a full-bodied flavour. Before the dish is served, a mix of sesame oil, shallot oil, Chinese wine (Hua Diao Jiu), ginger sauce, and dark soya sauce is drizzled over the rice. It is then annointed with chicken fat. At the Kuala Lumpur stall, about 13 charcoal pits are used to cater to the demand. Up to 200 claypots of the chicken rice are sold each day.

Though a bit too wet, the rice was delicious with all the lovely flavours of the ingredients. The rice grains at the bottom were crisped by the hot oil but were not charred. (Rating: 8/10)

Ah Mei Hokkien Prawn Mee from Penang

Madam Lim Mooi Moey started the Ah Mei Hokkien Prawn Mee stall with her husband in 1985. Their stall opens from 7am to 1pm daily, selling between 200 and 300 bowls. The broth is prepared with stir-fried crushed prawn shells, pork bones and ground dried chilli, cooked for three hours. The hot spicy broth is ladled over cooked noodles and rice vermicelli, kang kong, bean sprouts, prawns, hard-boiled egg and pork rib. Famous for her speciality, Madam Lim has been invited to recreate her dish at food events in Macau and Singapore, such as the Penang Hawker buffet at York Hotel.

Good prawny stock with a fiery heat. One of the best from Penang. (Rating: 8.5/10)

Hai Beng Hainan Lor Mee from Penang

The Hai Beng Hainan Lor Mee is an old brand in Penang. Started as a street stall by Cheah It Kheang’s father in 1957, the business has moved into a coffee shop that seats 180 customers. The laborious cooking process involves boiling pork bones for about 11 hours and stirring tapioca starch into the broth to achieve a thick gelatinous consistency. The gravy is ladled over the yellow egg noodles which is topped with stewed egg, mushroom, lean pork, pork lard and pork belly.

Compared to Singapore's Hokkien version, it was simple fare. Singaporeans might not like the thick gooey gravy. The five-spice pork belly was aromatic though. Best eaten with the Lor Bak below.(Rating: 6/10)

Ah Long Lor Bak from Penang
Lor bak is marinated chopped pork, rolled in paper-thin soybean sheets and then deep fried. It is usually served with a small bowl of Lor or dip — a pork broth thickened with corn starch and beaten eggs and chili sauce. Penang Ah Long Lor Bak stands out from other lor bak stalls in Penang because it entices customers with a wider variety of items. Like flat shrimp crackers and deep-fried yam and radish. Owned by Mr Tang Kek Long and his wife, the original Penang stall was set up by his father in the 1960s. On a busy day, the Tangs can sell up to 1,000 rolls of lor bak. The lor is made of pork broth, five-spice powder and secret spices. Mr Tang and his wife have also visited Singapore several times to participate in Penang-themed food promotions held at the York Hotel and the Yishun Orchid Club.

It was Lor Bak heaven with a good combination of grease, spice, saltiness and sweetness. The meat roll was accompanied by decent fried bean sheet roll. Even better were the addictive shrimp crackers.(Rating: 8.5/10)

Lim Brothers' Char Kway Teow from Penang
Mr Lim Chye Lin started his stall when he was just 16 years old and had enlisted the help of his younger brother to run the business. Prawns, cockles Chinese sausage, pork lard and egg are stir-fried with the noodles. The Penang version is saltier but lighter in colour compared to the Singapore one. Mine was a bit too salty. There was good wok hei but lacking in seafood, egg and hot lard flavours. Also, there were no cockles. (Rating:6.9/10)

New World Park Chendol from Penang

This dessert of green pandan-flavoured bean strips and red beans on shaved ice is drenched with coconut milk and palm sugar (gula merah). Mdm Loh Swee Gain’s recipe is originally from her husband. Now, she has her grand-daughter to help her run the desserts stall at the New World Park food court in Penang. The Chendol strips and red beans were a joy to eat but the syrup had too much brown sugar which drowned out the palm sugar taste. But that's how they prepare this at many stalls in Penang.(Rating: 6.5/10)

Interesting Cafes/Restaurants in Singapore.

Big Bad Wolf

Big bad wolf is a newly opened restaurant/bar located right at the heart of Tanjung Katong Road.
With the appearance of Big bad wolf and Smith's British Fish and chips, this famous Peranakan neighbourhood is now viewed in a new light. At night, its bustling with many tourists and locals specially coming down to this area for awesome food and a good chill out time with friends.

And now the pictures shall do the talking.

The entire place is a simple, clean and white layout. The element of wood is cleverly used to bring out the theme of their name"Big bad wolf".It mildly lets you feels as though you just stepped into a forest with the artistic painting on the wall.

What better way to relax on a sunny hot afternoon with a refreshing apple cidar beer! Even the beer is
carefully selected to suit the theme. Turn the bottle over to read the story of how the beer was inspired-apparently by some guy who love foxes and forests.

The pavement is used as a little alfresco dining area.Chilling over here makes me feels like im in Australia except the weather  in singapore is just tooo hot. When i was in Aussie during flying days,I love to grab a beer like this and just chill during the day.It was great fun to just enjoy the beer, the chilly weather and do some people- watching.

I ordered the Guiness lamb shoulder chop and i fell in love with it.The lamb chop is slow braised in guiness stout until it is falling- bone tender! That explains why the meat dissolves in your mouth and is very flavourful. Also, the gravy is not too salty and have this mild alcoholic taste to it.For a pricing of $17.50 for this dish,i think its pretty worth it.

I brought along a companion with me on this food rachy trip-my lovable sister! And this is what she ordered:BBQ baby back ribs.
Im not a big lover of BBQ ribs as i always find the meat too tough and the sauce too sweet but i have to say ''YUMMALICIOUS" to this ribs because it is soooo strangely tender .I keep wondering how they do it. Price:$18.

Food makes a girl happy.

Ending off the meal with BBW signature dessert-Thier own creation of Baileys chocolate tart!
I was thrilled to see the cute wolf sitting on top of the tart.It brings a creativity vibe to this otherwise pretty simple dessert. However,i find that the dessert is not worth its price as it taste simply just like rich alcoholic chocolate on a tart shell. Its definitely a tad too expensive for a tart. Pricing-$6.

Its quickly polished off still.

Can you spot that red riding hood hiding in the woods?

Overall,I have a very pleasant dining experience as the service was excellent. The waiter would occasionally check on us and ask us for opinions on thier food and whether it is to our liking. Before leaving,he even insists on asking us to take a picture with the lovely design on the wall.

I did some online research on this restaurant and found out that the owner actually opened this restuarant because" Big Bad Wolf" was actually his favourite childhood storybook when he was young. How interesting! Imagine one day cafes with more fairytale stories opening up!-Like Cinderella, little mermaid, snow white, tele tubbies..(ok i don't think they are part of the fairy tales group but well.)
